St. Michaels wins tough contest against Georgetown, 4-2

In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the St. Michaels Buzzers escaped with a 4-2 victory over the Georgetown Raiders.

No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Cameron Wright at 2:40 of the third period.

St. Michaels was sparked by Wright, who grabbed one goal and one assist.

The Buzzers excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances.

St. Michaels additionally got points from A.J. Dorazio, who also tallied one goal and one assist. St. Michaels also had goals scored by Anthony Paveglio and Sean Kohler, who scored one goal each. In addition, St. Michaels received assists from Colton Trumbla, who had two and Luke Branco, Thomas Beretta, Noah Jordan, and Michael Andlauer, who contributed one each.

Georgetown managed to stay out of the box better than usual, totaling one minor for two minutes in penalty time. The Raiders finished below its season average of 20.0 penalty minutes per game. Georgetown's offense rang up 31 shots on St. Michaels' net.

The Raiders were helped by Andrew Court, who finished with one goal. Court scored 16:43 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Georgetown. Daniel Hardie provided the assist. Georgetown also got a goal from Josh Dickinson as well. More assists for Georgetown came via Ashur Elliot and Jack Jacome, who each chipped in one.

Jacob McGrath recorded 29 saves for the Buzzers. St. Michaels incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Andrew Masters made 23 saves for Georgetown on 26 shots.
