Milne's goals lift Cobourg to 4-1 victory over Lindsay

The Cobourg Cougars relied on the scoring touch of Rory Milne, who netted two goals, to beat the Lindsay Muskies, 4-1.

Milne found the back of the net 7:04 into the first period to make the score 1-1 and again while 13:22 into the third to make the score 3-1 Cobourg.

Lindsay was unable to stop Cobourg from sending pucks towards the net, and the Cougars eventually piled up 42 shots on goal.

Cobourg also got a goal from Brenden Locke as well. In addition, Cobourg received assists from Ryan OGrady, Josh Argier, Matt Carroll, and Austin Veleke, who contributed one each and Connor Inger and Brett Primeau, who each chipped in two.

The Muskies were led by Josh Wainman, who scored the team's only goal. Wainman scored on the power play 5:33 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Lindsay. Lindsay had gotten the advantage when Cobourg's Brennan Roy was sent off for slashing. Brandon Washer picked up the assist.

Stefano Durante recorded 19 saves for the Cougars. Cobourg incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Boyd Diclemente made 38 saves for the Muskies on 42 shots. Lindsay incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
