Nadeau leads Kingston over Mississauga, 8-1

The Kingston Voyageurs were firing on all cylinders against the Mississauga Chargers, and when the final buzzer sounded Voyageurs emerged with an 8-1 win.

Kingston's penalty kill excelled, as the Voyageurs gave up one goal despite allowing seven power plays.

Kingston forced Mississauga's goaltenders to work without much rest, totaling 56 shots and forcing 48 saves. Andrew Cipollone made 34 stops and Tyler Richardson made 14. The Voyageurs found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. Kingston averages 3.8 goals per game.

The Voyageurs were helped by Brandon Nadeau, who finished with one goal and two assists. Nadeau scored 7:11 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Kingston. Cole Beckstead picked up the assist. Kingston also got points from Zachary Emelifeonwu, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Beckstead, who also had one goal and two assists, and Ian Harris, who also registered one goal and two assists. Anthony Rinaldi also scored for Kingston. More assists for Kingston came via Danny Bosio, who had two, Jack Zielinski, who had three, and Jacob Hanlon, Tommy Abrams, and Braedyn Asselstine, who contributed one each.

The Chargers were hit hard by penalties in the contest, and totaled seven minors and one major for 29 minutes in penalty time.

Kingston's Zach Springer stopped 14 shots out of the 15 that he faced. The Voyageurs incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. For Mississauga, Cipollone was ejected from the game.
