Dylan Mascarin gave the Wellington Dukes a 3-2 (OT) victory over the Stouffville Spirit when he scored 1:49 into the extra period.

Wellington was led by Mascarin, who tallied one goal and one assist.

The Dukes kept Stouffville's goalie busy throughout the game, and Aaron Taylor made 33 saves on 36 shots.

Wellington also had goals scored by Luc Brown and Dorian Overland, who each put in one. In addition, Wellington received assists from Tyler Burnie, who had two and Aiden Girduckis and Jake Falcao, who contributed one each.

The Spirit excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances.

Stouffville was helped by Kyle Thomas, who finished with one goal. Thomas scored 12:53 into the third period to make the score 2-2. Alex Williamson provided the assist. Stouffville also got a goal from Spencer Roberts as well. More assists for Stouffville came via Jack Varga, Max Novick, and Ryan DaSilva, who each chipped in one.

Olivier Lafreniere made 28 saves for Wellington on 30 shots. The Dukes incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Spirit incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
