Huge game by Rajic boosts Oakville over Lindsay, 7-1

The Oakville Blades' Christian Rajic had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing two assists in his team's 7-1 win over the Lindsay Muskies.

Rajic found the back of the net 16:36 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Oakville and again while 17:56 into the second to make the score 5-1 Oakville.

Oakville kept Lindsay's goalie busy throughout the game, and Graham Dynes made 29 saves on 36 shots. The Blades surpassed their usual scoring output this season. This season, Oakville averages 4.3 goals per contest.

Oakville also got points from Patrick Kudla, who also registered one goal and one assist, Jackson Bales, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Josh Kosack, who also had one goal and one assist, and Ryan Garvey, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Bryce Misley also scored for Oakville. Other players who recorded assists for Oakville were Brendan Doherty and Eric Holland, who each chipped in one and Tyler Rollo and Drew Worrad, who contributed three each.

The Muskies racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with six minors and two majors for 32 minutes in penalty time. Lindsay surpassed its season average of 17.0 penalty minutes per game.

The Blades' Michael Botiz stopped 18 shots out of the 19 that he faced. Oakville totaled 23 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 3-for-6 on the power play. For the Blades, Oliver Benwel was ejected from the game. The Muskies registered one goal on three power play opportunities. For Lindsay, Cole Robbins, Brandon Washer, and Braeden Kublick were ejected from the contest.
