Pickering wins tough contest against Cobourg, 6-4Pickering Recreation Complex Fri, Oct 09, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
The game between the Pickering Panthers and the Cobourg Cougars was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end Pickering emerged with a 6-4 win. No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Justin Bennett at 18:22 of the third period. The Panthers were led by Bennett, who tallied one goal. In the losing effort, Cobourg was paced by Kallen McFarland, who registered two goals. McFarland scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 12 seconds into the third period to make the score 3-2 Cobourg. Connor Inger assisted on the tally. McFarland's next tally on the power play made the score 4-4 with 3:07 left in the third period. Matthew Bumstead picked up the assist.
