Milton erases deficit to stun Toronto Patriots, 3-2

The Milton Icehawks climbed out of a two-goal hole to beat the Toronto Patriots Patriots, 3-2.

Milton never led in the game until netting the game winner. The Icehawks fell behind 2-0 after a goal by Toronto Patriots' Jason DiPerna at 6:31 in the first period. Milton tied things up at 2-2 on a goal by Chris Cobham at 10:40 in the third period. The Icehawks netted the game winner on the power play at 13:32 in the third period on a goal by Cobham.

Milton got the win with help from a great game by Cobham, who had two goals and one assist. Cobham scored the first of his two goals at 18:54 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Toronto Patriots. Anthony Baxter picked up the assist. Cobham's next tally made the score 2-2 with 9:20 left in the third period. Joseph Teofilo provided the assist.

The Icehawks excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. The Patriots were unable to stop Milton from sending pucks towards the net, and the Icehawks eventually piled up 31 shots on goal.

Milton also got points from Teofilo, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. In addition, Milton received assists from William Santangeli, who had one and Philip Lagunov, who had two.

Toronto Patriots also got a goal from Michael Siddall as well. More assists for Toronto Patriots came via Andrew Green, Jordan Anderson, and Nicholas Ursitti, who each chipped in one.

Milton's Marcus Semiao stopped 25 shots out of the 27 that he faced. The Icehawks incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Jacob Standen made 28 saves for Toronto Patriots on 31 shots. The Patriots incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
