Orangeville downs St. Michaels, 3-0

James McLaughlin registered one point to lead the Orangeville Flyers to a 3-0 victory over the St. Michaels Buzzers.

Orangeville excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. The Flyers' defensive effort looked to be improved. Orangeville gives up 2.5 goals on average per game. The Flyers' offense rang up 32 shots on St. Michaels' net.

Orangeville also got points from Brett Bannister, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Travis Brown also scored for Orangeville. In addition, Orangeville received assists from Connor Stack, James Ranson, Lucas Smilsky, and Ryan Barbosa, who each chipped in one.

The Buzzers put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Orangeville to score on any of its four power plays. St. Michaels did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Buzzers average 2.7 goals per game.

The Flyers' Nicholas Latinovich stopped 23 shots out of the 23 that he faced. Orangeville incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Mark Manolescu made 29 saves for St. Michaels on 32 shots. The Buzzers incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
