Masters leads Georgetown to shutout victory over LindsayLindsay Recreation Centre Fri, Oct 02, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
Andrew Masters was superb between the pipes for the Georgetown Raiders, as he did not allow a goal in a 5-0 victory over the Lindsay Muskies. Georgetown's penalty kill excelled, as the Raiders gave up zero goals despite allowing 10 power plays. Georgetown was led by Jordan Crocker, who registered one goal and one assist. Crocker scored 14:20 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Georgetown. Jake Payette picked up the assist. The Raiders stifled Lindsay's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Georgetown's defense was surprisingly good. The Raiders average 2.5 goals allowed per game. Georgetown was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 54 penalty minutes. Others who scored for Georgetown included Daniel Hardie and Brendan Jacome, who scored two goals each. In addition, Georgetown received assists from Josh Dickinson, who had three and Bailey Molella, Anthony Mota, and Andrew Court, who contributed one each. The Muskies were held below their usual level of production. Lindsay averages 2.1 goals per game. The Raiders were unable to stop the Muskies from sending pucks towards the net, and Lindsay eventually piled up 34 shots on goal. The Muskies struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as they finished the game with 24 penalty minutes for five opposing power plays. Masters rejected 34 shots on goal for Georgetown. For the Raiders, Liam Winslow was ejected from the game. Lindsay's Boyd Diclemente stopped 18 shots out of the 23 that he faced.
