The Burlington Cougars could not hold down the Trenton Golden Hawks, and Golden Hawks erased a two-goal deficit en route to a 3-2 win. Trenton never led in the game until netting the game winner. The Golden Hawks trailed 2-0 after a goal by Burlington's Jack Jeffers at 12:24 in the first period. Trenton knotted things up at 2-2 on a goal by Danny Hanlon at 9:12 in the second period. The Golden Hawks netted the game winner at 1:07 in the third period on a goal by Hanlon. Liam Morgan was all over the ice for Trenton, as he registered two goals in the win. The Golden Hawks forced the Cougars goalie Andrew Lee to work between the pipes, taking 38 shots. In addition, Trenton received assists from Brandon Marinelli, Mitch Emerson, Spencer Herbst, Lucas Brown, and Hunter Fargey, who each chipped in one. Burlington stifled Trenton's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Cougars were held below their usual level of production. Burlington averages 4.3 goals per game.
