The Stouffville Spirit and the St. Michaels Buzzers skate to 3-3 (OT) tie

Two goals from Spencer Roberts and one point from Kyle Thomas could not prevent Stouffville from drawing with St. Michaels,.

The Spirit stifled the Buzzers' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Stouffville forced St. Michaels goalie Jacob McGrath to work between the pipes, taking 33 shots.

In addition, Stouffville received assists from James Mense-Dietrich, who had two and Zachary Roberts, Calvin Martin, and Otis Goldman, who each chipped in one.

The Buzzers managed to stay out of the box better than usual, finishing with one minor for two minutes in penalty time. St. Michaels ended up below its season average of 14.0 penalty minutes per game. The Buzzers' offense rang up 37 shots on the Spirit's net.

St. Michaels was led by Cameron Wright, who tallied one goal and one assist. Wright scored 7:48 into the second period to make the score 2-1 St. Michaels. Others who scored for St. Michaels included Thomas Beretta and Cameron Searles, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for St. Michaels were Colton Trumbla, Noah Jordan, and A.J. Dorazio, who contributed one each.

Aaron Taylor rejected 34 shots on goal for Stouffville. The Spirit incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. McGrath recorded 30 saves for the Buzzers. St. Michaels registered zero goals on five power play opportunities.
