Grayden Gottschalk was all over the ice for the North York Rangers, as he tallied two goals and one assist in North York's 5-1 win over the Whitby Fury. Gottschalk found the back of the net on the power play 3:35 into the first period to make the score 1-0 North York and again while 9:47 into the second to make the score 2-1 North York.Whitby was unable to stop the Rangers from sending pucks towards the net, and North York eventually piled up 38 shots on goal. North York also got points from Michael Morgan, who also racked up one goal and two assists. North York also had goals scored by Louis Kereakou and Nick Campoli, who scored one goal each. More assists for North York came via Ted Hunt, who had two and Jeremy Szabo, Will Calverley, Ryan Hunt, and Jake Harris, who contributed one each. The Fury's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as Whitby finished with 22 penalty minutes. The Fury were led by Ryan Heeps, who scored the team's only goal. Heeps scored on the power play 8:16 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Whitby earned a power play opportunity when Ryan Takamatsu was put in the box for tripping. Justin Brand picked up the assist. The Rangers' Jeremie Lintner stopped 21 shots out of the 22 that he faced. North York incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. For the Rangers, Keegan Blasby was ejected from the game. Austin Cain made 33 saves for the Fury on 38 shots. Whitby registered one goal on four power play opportunities. The Fury ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Brand was ejected from the game.
