Toronto Jr. Canadiens rips Milton, 5-1

The Toronto Jr. Canadiens Junior Canadiens had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-1 win over the Milton Icehawks.

Nicholas Jarzabek had a great game for Toronto Jr. Canadiens, netting two goals. Jarzabek scored at 13:04 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Toronto Jr. Canadiens and again while on the power play 52 seconds into the third to make the score 3-0 Toronto Jr. Canadiens.

The Junior Canadiens' offense rang up 42 shots on Milton's net.

Toronto Jr. Canadiens also got points from Justin Maiolino, who also grabbed one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Toronto Jr. Canadiens also had goals scored by Jake Joffe and Eric Eremita, who each put in one. In addition, Toronto Jr. Canadiens received assists from Cody Symonds, who had two and Lee Lapid, Anthony Trujillo, George Novachis, Daniel Barnes, and Dakota Brancatella, who each chipped in one.

The Icehawks were held below their usual level of production. Milton puts an average of 3.2 pucks into the net per game.

Matthew Camilleri recorded 17 saves for Toronto Jr. Canadiens. The Junior Canadiens incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Icehawks' Marcus Semiao stopped 37 shots out of the 42 that he faced. Milton incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. For the Icehawks, Sean Robertson was ejected from the game.
