Wellington boosted by Lafreniere's play in net, beats Lindsay 2-1

The Wellington Dukes relied on the sparkling performance of Olivier Lafreniere in net to grab a 2-1 win against the Lindsay Muskies.

Wellington was sparked by Dylan Mascarin, who registered one goal. Mascarin scored 19:15 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Wellington. Luc Brown assisted on the tally.

The Dukes' offense rang up 39 shots on Lindsay's net.

Wellington also got a goal from Ben Sokay as well. Other players who recorded assists for Wellington were Chase St Aubin, who had one.

The Muskies' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Wellington power plays.

Lindsay was led by Christian Vella, who scored the team's only goal. Vella scored 4:09 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Lindsay.

Wellington's Lafreniere stopped 28 shots out of the 29 that he faced. The Dukes incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Boyd Diclemente made 37 saves for the Muskies on 39 shots. Lindsay incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
