Behind two goals from Owen Scuralli and one goal Kyler Challis, the Pickering Panthers downed the Stouffville Spirit 6-3. Scuralli scored the first of his two goals at 1:30 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Pickering. Andrew Hughes picked up the assist. Scuralli's next tally made the score 2-0 Pickering with 14:51 left in the first period. Reade MacInnis assisted on the tally. Challis scored 6:35 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Pickering. Hughes provided the assist.Pickering kept Stouffville's goalie busy throughout the game, and Aaron Taylor made 28 saves on 34 shots. The Panthers outdid their season average for goals scored. This season, Pickering averages 3.3 goals per contest. Team could not crack the Spirit's penalty kill and was held to one power play goal while having nine opportunities to play with the man advantage. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals. Pickering also got points from Hughes, who also registered one goal and two assists. Pickering also had goals scored by John Hudgin and Blake Coffey, who scored one goal each. In addition, Pickering received assists from Chris Sekelyk, who had one, Marco Azzano, who had two, and Tiger McDonald, who had three. Stouffville forced the Panthers goalie Mathew Woroniuk to work between the pipes, taking 39 shots. The Spirit were forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as they racked up 34 penalty minutes. Stouffville was led by Nathan Hudgin, who tallied two goals. Hudgin scored the first of his two goals short handed at 19:06 into the first period to make the score 3-1 Pickering. The Spirit were on a disadvantage when Cameron Lintner went off the ice for interference. Christopher Brill-Morgan assisted on the tally.
