Toronto Jr. Canadiens blows out Mississauga, 5-2Port Credit Arena Wed, Sep 16, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
The Toronto Jr. Canadiens Junior Canadiens were firing on all cylinders against the Mississauga Chargers, and when the final buzzer sounded Junior Canadiens emerged with a 5-2 win. Toronto Jr. Canadiens' penalty kill excelled, as the Junior Canadiens gave up one goal despite allowing seven power plays. Toronto Jr. Canadiens was led by Nicholas Jarzabek, who registered one goal. Jarzabek scored 14:58 into the first period to make the score 3-2 Toronto Jr. Canadiens. Ryan Ngan picked up the assist. The Junior Canadiens forced Mississauga goalie Tyler Richardson to work between the pipes, taking 45 shots. Toronto Jr. Canadiens could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 20 minutes in penalties during the game. Toronto Jr. Canadiens also got points from Cody Symonds, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Anthony Trujillo, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Toronto Jr. Canadiens also had goals scored by Andrew Pucci and Jake Joffe, who scored one goal each. More assists for Toronto Jr. Canadiens came via Lee Lapid and Justin Maiolino, who contributed one each. The Chargers put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Junior Canadiens to score on any of their five power plays. Toronto Jr. Canadiens was unable to stop Mississauga from sending pucks towards the net, and the Chargers eventually piled up 34 shots on goal. Mississauga was helped by Thomas Lattavo, who finished with one goal. Lattavo scored 14:34 into the first period to make the score 2-2. Mississauga also got a goal from Daniel DeSousa as well. In addition, Mississauga received assists from Stefano Alonzi and Scott Docherty, who each chipped in one. The Junior Canadiens' Daniel Lopapa stopped 32 shots out of the 34 that he faced. Tyler Richardson made 40 saves for the Chargers on 44 shots. Mississauga incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
