The game between the St. Michaels Buzzers and the Markham Royals was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end St. Michaels emerged with a 4-3 win. No lead was more than one goal during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Cameron Searles at 15:30 of the third period. The Buzzers were sparked by Searles, who had one goal and one assist. St. Michaels stifled Markham's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Buzzers kept the Royals' goalie busy throughout the game, and Nathan Colitto made 34 saves on 38 shots. St. Michaels also got points from Mitchell Devins-Cann, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Sean Kohler, who also registered one goal and one assist. St. Michaels also got a goal from Colton Trumbla as well. More assists for St. Michaels came via Lucas Breault, Thomas Beretta, Dalton Barnes, and Michael Andlauer, who contributed one each. Markham forced St. Michaels goalie Jacob McGrath to work between the pipes, taking 40 shots. The Royals were led by Tyson Bruce, who finished with one goal and one assist. Bruce scored 5:21 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Joel Knight picked up the assist. Markham additionally got points from Brendan Valko, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Khadyn Butterfly also scored for Markham. In addition, Markham received assists from Matthew Dunlop and Trevor Abbot, who each chipped in one. McGrath recorded 37 saves for the Buzzers. St. Michaels incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. The Buzzers ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Finn Evans was ejected from the game. Markham incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. For the Royals, Jeff Joynt was ejected from the game.
