Lindsay falls to Cobourg in overtime, 5-4 (OT)

Josh Argier gave the Cobourg Cougars a 5-4 (OT) victory over the Lindsay Muskies when he scored 4:18 into the extra period.

Cobourg was paced by Argier, who tallied one goal.

The Cougars kept Lindsay's goalie busy throughout the game, and Boyd Diclemente made 47 saves on 52 shots.

Cobourg additionally got points from Rory Milne, who also registered one goal and one assist. Cobourg also had goals scored by Josh Hopkin, Connor Inger, and Theo Lewis, who each put in one. In addition, Cobourg received assists from Sam Dunn and Patrick MacDonald, who each chipped in one and Ryan OGrady, Brenden Locke, and Brennan Roy, who contributed two each.

The Muskies' defense let in more goals than it usually has this year. Lindsay averages 2.5 goals allowed per game.

The Muskies were helped by Brock Traill, who had one goal. Traill scored 16:52 into the first period to make the score 3-2 Lindsay. Kristopher Diclemente provided the assist. Lindsay also got points from James Allen, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Lindsay included Austin Eastman and Kyle Diamond, who scored one goal each. More assists for Lindsay came via Stuart Fierheller, who had one and Josh Wainman, who had two.

Stefano Durante recorded 25 saves for Cobourg. The Cougars incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Lindsay incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
