Eric Holland gave the Oakville Blades a 5-4 (OT) victory over the Burlington Cougars when he scored 2:18 into the extra period. Oakville came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Blades trailed 4-2 after a power play goal by Burlington's Daniel Volpe at 5:50 in the third period. Oakville knotted things up at 4-4 on a goal by Ryan Garvey at 19:30 in the third period. The Blades forced the Cougars goalie Andrew Lee to work between the pipes, taking 39 shots. Oakville found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. The Blades average 2.6 goals per game. Oakville struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as it finished the game with 28 penalty minutes for nine opposing power plays. Lee recorded 34 saves for the Cougars. Burlington incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
