Coachs Corner uses big games from Crompton and Bedford to down Voodoo, 9-5

Behind two goals and three assists from Bradley Crompton and three goals and one assist from Lucas Bedford, Coachs Corner downed Voodoo 9-5.

Crompton scored the first of his two goals at 6:23 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Coachs Corner. Sean Norbury picked up the assist. Crompton's next tally made the score 4-1 Coachs Corner with 6:45 left in the first period. Andrew Rehtlane provided the assist.

The win gave Coachs Corner a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.

Coachs Corner's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Voodoo power plays.

Coachs Corner additionally got points from Nick Johnston, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Lucas Johnston, who also registered one goal and one assist, Bedford, who also had three goals and one assist, and Norbury, who also racked up two goals and one assist. More assists for Coachs Corner came via Tristan Jones, who had two and Jason Granholm and Jordan Sullivan, who contributed one each.

Voodoo forced Coachs Corner goalie Granholm to work between the pipes, taking 43 shots.

Voodoo was led by Ryan Brisebois, who registered three goals and two assists. Voodoo also got points from Jordan Davies, who also finished with two goals and one assist. In addition, Voodoo received assists from Thomas Cantafio, who had two and Colin Lau and Rich Cottier, who each chipped in one.

Coachs Corner's Granholm stopped 38 shots out of the 43 that he faced. Coachs Corner incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Ibu Sharif rejected 19 shots on goal for Voodoo. Voodoo incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
