Karin Khera grabbed one point to lead Devils to a 5-2 victory over Shane OBeautys.

The win gave Devils a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.

Devils was paced by Khera, who had one goal. Khera scored 15:06 into the first period to make the score 3-1 Devils.

Devils excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. Devils' offense rang up 39 shots on Shane OBeautys' net.

Others who scored for Devils included Rajin Khera, David Cowling, Bic Banwait, and Landon Lee, who each put in one. In addition, Devils received assists from Kevin Fenwick, Sean Simms, Jason Dhatt, Sartaj Chhoker, Daniel Chow, and Kyle Izatt, who each chipped in one.

The defensemen of Shane OBeautys were also effective in Devils' zone, and came away with two goals.

Shane OBeautys was led by Jackson Chandler, who registered two goals. Chandler scored the first of his two goals at 1:49 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Shane OBeautys. David Hirst assisted on the tally. Chandler's next tally made the score 3-2 Devils with 3:02 left in the first period. Matthew Wagstaff picked up the assist.

Inderpal Bhachu rejected 28 shots on goal for Devils. Devils incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Glen Krauser recorded 34 saves for Shane OBeautys. Shane OBeautys incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
