Ryan Lee lifted Koopa Troopa to a 9-1 victory with a hat trick against Glacier.

Lee notched his first tally 12:04 into the first period. He then added goals at 17:08 into the first and at 12:15 into the second.

The win gave Koopa Troopa a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.

Koopa Troopa also got points from Andrew Arciaga, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Vince Yeung, who also tallied one goal and three assists. Others who scored for Koopa Troopa included Chris Watt, who had two and Amrit Jhutti and Aaron Chan, who scored one goal each. In addition, Koopa Troopa received assists from Jakob Bauer, who had one and William Campbell, who had three.

Glacier did not rack up many penalties in the contest, racking up just one minor for two minutes in penalty time.

Hoi Leung made 19 saves for Koopa Troopa on 20 shots. Koopa Troopa ended with no penalties and went 0-for-0 on the power play. James Botwright recorded 21 saves for Glacier. Glacier registered zero goals on zero power play opportunities.
