Russian Rockets pulled out a 4-3 (OT) overtime victory over East Van Jets on a clutch goal by Ray R Wong.

The win gave Russian Rockets a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.

Russian Rockets was paced by Wong, who grabbed one goal. Wong scored 27 seconds into overtime to make the score 4-3 Russian Rockets.

East Van Jets was led by Sean Reyes, who racked up two goals and one assist. Reyes scored the first of his two goals short handed at 1:59 into the second period to make the score 1-1. East Van Jets played down a man on Mark Reyes's roughing. Sagar Lal provided the assist. Reyes' next tally short handed made the score 3-3 with 5:47 left in the second period. East Van Jets had taken the advantage when Russian Rockets' Nha Peter Vo got sent off for interference. Vince Angeles picked up the assist. East Van Jets also got a goal from Lester Leonor as well. In addition, East Van Jets received assists from David Bagaoisan and Jeremiah Schneider, who each chipped in one.

Mardin Akrawi made 17 saves for Russian Rockets on 20 shots. Russian Rockets incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Michael Chao rejected 36 shots on goal for East Van Jets. East Van Jets incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
