EMPIRE STATE LEGENDS uses early goal to top LONG ISLAND 495ERS BLUE, 4-3

Frank Florio gave EMPIRE STATE LEGENDS the lead in the first period, and LONG ISLAND 495ERS BLUE was never able to catch up in a close game that ended 4-3.

Florio provided EMPIRE STATE LEGENDS with the game-winning tally when he scored 12:44 into the first period. Sean Beatty picked up the assist.

EMPIRE STATE LEGENDS was sparked by Pat Rosa, who racked up one goal and one assist. Rosa scored 1:26 into the second period to make the score 4-2 EMPIRE STATE LEGENDS. Sam Sherman provided the assist.

EMPIRE STATE LEGENDS also got points from Florio, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Beatty, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Nick Vitale also scored for EMPIRE STATE LEGENDS. More assists for EMPIRE STATE LEGENDS came via Dale Johnson and Rich Schwartz, who contributed one each.

LONG ISLAND 495ERS BLUE managed to stay out of the box better than usual, finishing with one minor for two minutes in penalty time. LONG ISLAND 495ERS BLUE finished below its season average of 5.0 penalty minutes per game.

LONG ISLAND 495ERS BLUE was helped by James Karp, who registered one goal. Karp scored 1:00 into the second period to make the score 3-2 EMPIRE STATE LEGENDS.
