Entmaa leads Caledonia to shutout victory over Leamington

Haldimand Center    Tue, Apr 14, 2015

Kevin Entmaa made 31 saves to complete the shutout and led the Caledonia Corvairs to a 3-0 win against the Leamington Flyers.

The win by Caledonia broke a deadlock and gave the Corvairs a 2-1 advantage in the best of seven series.

Caledonia was led by Mitch Purdie, who tallied one goal. Purdie scored 27 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Caledonia. Connor Bramwell picked up the assist.

The Corvairs stifled Leamington's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Caledonia forced the Flyers goalie Trevor Wheaton to work between the pipes, taking 32 shots.

Others who scored for Caledonia included Connor Patton and Erick Delaurentis, who each put in one. In addition, Caledonia received assists from Ryan Moran, Luke Sinclair, Kyle Tanev, Matthew Hore, and Jacob Buch, who contributed one each.

The Corvairs were unable to stop Leamington from sending pucks towards the net, and the Flyers eventually piled up 31 shots on goal.

Caledonia incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Trevor Wheaton made 29 saves for Leamington on 32 shots. The Flyers incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
