Idaho Junior Steelheads had a seven-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to an 8-0 win over El Paso Rhinos. The win by Idaho Junior Steelheads clinched the best of five series at 3-1. Arturs Sevcenko quarterbacked Idaho Junior Steelheads' offense to perfection and bagged four assists in Idaho Junior Steelheads' win over El Paso Rhinos. El Paso Rhinos' 12 penalties came back to haunt it, as El Paso Rhinos let up five goals while on the penalty kill. Idaho Junior Steelheads forced El Paso Rhinos' netminders to work in net, totaling 31 shots and forcing 23 saves. Adam Vay made seven stops and Alek Lazarski made 16. Idaho Junior Steelheads excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. Idaho Junior Steelheads also got points from Connor Hoernlein, who also had one goal and one assist, Kyle Kruenegel, who also finished with one goal and one assist, and Johannes Yucel, who also registered one goal and three assists. Macky Power also scored for Idaho Junior Steelheads. Other players who recorded assists for Idaho Junior Steelheads were Victor Carlsson, who had two and Jack York, Yegor Ivanov, Oleg Losev, Ryan Cutter, and Kyle TenEyck, who each chipped in one. El Paso Rhinos' offense was handcuffed by Idaho Junior Steelheads' defensive play, and El Paso Rhinos managed only 14 shots on goal during the game. Idaho Junior Steelheads took out Austin Althaus after he had made five saves and installed Tyler Hough in goal, where he finished with nine saves and the win. Idaho Junior Steelheads ended with 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors and two majors. El Paso Rhinos ended with 40 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors and two majors.
