The El Paso Rhinos climbed out of a three-goal hole to beat the Idaho Junior Steelheads, 4-3.

El Paso Rhinos never led in the game until netting the game winner. El Paso Rhinos trailed 3-0 after a goal by Idaho Junior Steelheads' Robert Neuwirth at 7:35 in the first period. El Paso Rhinos knotted things up at 3-3 on a short handed goal by Kendal Craig at 15:31 in the second period. El Paso Rhinos scored the game winner at 19:50 in the second period on a goal by Craig.

The win gave El Paso Rhinos a 1-0 lead in the best of five series.

Jiri Pestuka was all over the ice for El Paso Rhinos, as he grabbed two goals in the win.

El Paso Rhinos stifled Idaho Junior Steelheads' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.
