Behind a great game by Johannes Yucel, who had two goals, Idaho Junior Steelheads defeated El Paso Rhinos, 5-2. Yucel found the back of the net on the power play 10:52 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Idaho Junior Steelheads and again while 19:46 into the third to make the score 5-2 Idaho Junior Steelheads.With the win, Idaho Junior Steelheads evened the series at 1-1 in the best of five showdown. Idaho Junior Steelheads was effective with a man advantage, and put in two goals while on the power play. Idaho Junior Steelheads additionally got points from Victor Carlsson, who also had one goal and two assists. Idaho Junior Steelheads also had goals scored by Dimitris Jones and Kyle Williams, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Idaho Junior Steelheads were Arturs Sevcenko, who had two and Kris Apsitis, Kyle Kruenegel, Phil Fromberger, and Macky Power, who each chipped in one. In addition, El Paso Rhinos received assists from Sebastian Borg and Jiri Pestuka, who contributed one each. Idaho Junior Steelheads' Austin Althaus stopped 20 shots out of the 22 that he faced. Idaho Junior Steelheads incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Alek Lazarski made 24 saves for El Paso Rhinos on 27 shots. El Paso Rhinos incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
