Chris Wilson gave the Louisiana IceGators a 4-3 (OT) victory over the Peoria Rivermen when he scored 12:10 into the extra period. With the win, Louisiana avoided elimination to make the series score 1-2 in the best of three series. The IceGators came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. Louisiana was down 3-1 after a power play goal by Peoria's Steve Morra at 16:20 in the first period. The IceGators knotted things up at 3-3 on a goal by Shawn McNeil at 19:48 in the second period. Wilson and Stephen Buco provided the spark for Louisiana, combining for two goals and four assists. Wilson had one goal and two assists and Buco also notched one goal and two assists. Louisiana additionally got points from McNeil, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Buco, who also registered one goal and two assists. Louisiana also got a goal from Jeremy Boyer as well. More assists for Louisiana came via Jake Hauswirth, who had one and Dan Cornell, who had two. The IceGators were unable to stop the Rivermen from sending pucks towards the net, and Peoria eventually piled up 39 shots on goal. The Rivermen were led by Alex Hudson, who tallied two goals. Hudson scored the first of his two goals at 13:05 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Jake Trask provided the assist. Hudson's next tally made the score 2-1 Peoria with 4:32 left in the first period. Trask assisted on the tally. Other players who recorded assists for Peoria were Mike Gurtler, who had two and Garrett Vermeersch and Matt Summers, who contributed one each. Scott Diebold made 36 saves for Louisiana on 39 shots. The IceGators incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Peoria's Kyle Rank stopped 20 shots out of the 24 that he faced. The Rivermen incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
