M2 New York University beats M2 Florida Gulf Coast University 5-4 after comeback scare

M2 Florida Gulf Coast University tried its best to erase a four-goal deficit, but M2 New York University would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 5-4.

A goal by Steven Esposito put M2 New York University up 5-1 in the second period, but M2 Florida Gulf Coast University pulled to within one on Dillon Duprey's tally 18:49 into the third period.

M2 New York University averages 34.8 shots on goal per game, but only sent 23 pucks on net against M2 Florida Gulf Coast University.

M2 New York University was helped by Michael OShaughnessy, who grabbed two goals. OShaughnessy scored the first of his two goals at 9:02 into the first period to make the score 1-0 M2 New York University. Gabriel Gollette provided the assist. OShaughnessy's next tally made the score 3-0 M2 New York University with 2:28 left in the first period. Denis OHara assisted on the tally.
