El Paso Rhinos survives Ogden Mustangs comeback, wins 2-1

El Paso Rhinos survived a determined comeback attempt by Ogden Mustangs on the way to a 2-1 win.

El Paso Rhinos made the score 2-0 on a goal by Gavin Abbott at 4:47 in the third period, and Ogden Mustangs got as close as 2-1 when Martin Hallin scored 10:47 into the third period.

After the loss made the series score 1-0 in the best of three series, Ogden Mustangs faces elimination next time out.

Ogden Mustangs was stymied by El Paso Rhinos' netminder Adam Vay, who stopped 42 shots during the victory. The solid play of Vay will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 1.76.

El Paso Rhinos also got a goal from Jonah Pearson as well. In addition, El Paso Rhinos received assists from Jordan Cullum, Marek Langhammer, Martin Hanl, and John Bowen, who each chipped in one.

Ogden Mustangs' offense rang up 43 shots on El Paso Rhinos' net.

More assists for Ogden Mustangs came via Ilya Bobko and Schuyler Seyfert, who contributed one each.

El Paso Rhinos incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Christoffer Sj���� made 28 saves for Ogden Mustangs on 30 shots. Ogden Mustangs incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
