The LaSalle Vipers tried to dig themselves out of a three-goal hole, but the Leamington Flyers held on for a 3-2 victory. Leamington made the score 3-0 on a goal by Mitchell Amante at 18:00 in the third period, and LaSalle got as close as 3-2 when Brett Langlois scored 19:58 into the third period. The win gave the Flyers a 2-0 lead in the best of seven series. Eric Henderson had a great game for Leamington, netting two goals. Henderson found the back of the net on the power play 11:10 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Leamington and again while 17:30 into the second to make the score 2-0 Leamington. The Flyers' penalty kill managed to stymie the Vipers' power play, giving up only one goal while playing with a man down. In addition, Leamington received assists from Kyle Quick, who had two and Alex Friesen and Trevor Wheaton, who contributed one each. LaSalle was helped by Brendan Harrogate, who registered one goal. Harrogate scored 18:19 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Leamington. Korey Morgan provided the assist. Other players who recorded assists for LaSalle were Nicolas Crescenzi, Chris Pignanelli, and Daniel Beaudoin, who each chipped in one. Wheaton recorded 28 saves for Leamington. The Flyers incurred 34 minutes in penalty time with 12 minors. Leamington ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Ryan Shipley was ejected from the game. The Vipers' Paolo Battisti stopped 19 shots out of the 21 that he faced. LaSalle incurred 30 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors.
