Watson's hat trick boosts Dundas over Brantford, 4-2JL Grightmire Arena Fri, Mar 27, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
The Brantford Blast could not stop the Dundas Real McCoys' Cam Watson, who tallied a hat trick in a 4-2 win. Watson notched his first tally 5:20 into the first period. He then added goals at 6:23 into the second and at 14:03 into the second.The win by Dundas clinched the best of seven series at 4-2. The Real McCoys' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Brantford power plays. Dundas kept Brantford's goalie busy throughout the game, and Anthony Marshall made 30 saves on 34 shots. Simon Mangos also scored for Dundas. More assists for Dundas came via Duncan Dalmao, Jeff White, Greg Stewart, Dan Lapointe, Beni Berisha, and Steve Hurst, who contributed one each. The Blast forced the Real McCoys goalie Mike Mole to work between the pipes, taking 34 shots. Brantford was helped by Cam Sault, who tallied one goal. Sault scored 12:18 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Dundas. Chris Rebernik provided the assist. Brantford also got points from Rebernik, who also racked up one goal and one assist. In addition, Brantford received assists from Mike Burgoyne, who had one and Chris Leveille, who had two. Mike Mole made 32 saves for Dundas on 34 shots. The Real McCoys incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. The Blast incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
