Casper Coyotes fell behind early, and Ogden Mustangs kept piling on the points on the way to an 8-2 victory. With the win, Ogden Mustangs avoided elimination to make the series score 1-2 in the best of three series. Caleb Pola had a great game for Ogden Mustangs, netting two goals. Pola found the back of the net 12:38 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Ogden Mustangs and again while 12:39 into the second to make the score 5-1 Ogden Mustangs. Ogden Mustangs pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 32 penalty minutes. Ogden Mustangs forced Casper Coyotes' goaltenders to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, launching 31 shots and forcing 23 saves. Rikard Landfeldt made 13 stops and Alexandre Lussier made 10. The defensemen of Ogden Mustangs were also effective in Casper Coyotes' zone, and came away with three goals. Ogden Mustangs additionally got points from Clay Cross, who also had two goals and one assist and Edvin Johansson, who also registered one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Ogden Mustangs also got a goal from Schuyler Seyfert as well. In addition, Ogden Mustangs received assists from George Babos, Craig Moore, and Corey Iapalucci, who contributed one each and Andreas Zollner, Ilya Bobko, and Martin Hallin, who each chipped in two. Ogden Mustangs was unable to stop Casper Coyotes from sending pucks towards the net, and Casper Coyotes eventually piled up 33 shots on goal. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals. Casper Coyotes also had goals scored by Troy Saunders and Anton Haga Loof, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Casper Coyotes were Jordan Klimovsky, Eric Andersson, Tim Odermatt, and Alex Rowland, who contributed one each. Ogden Mustangs' Andreas Pettersson stopped 31 shots out of the 33 that he faced. Ogden Mustangs registered one goal on four power play opportunities. Casper Coyotes incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
