El Paso Rhinos had a five-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to an 8-1 win over Oklahoma City Blazers. With the win, El Paso Rhinos avoided elimination to make the series score 1-2 in the best of three series. El Paso Rhinos' Adam Vay was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 28 saves and let only one puck past him. Vay certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 1.95 entering the contest. Oklahoma City Blazers was doomed by its poor performance on special teams, as El Paso Rhinos was able to score four times while on the power play. El Paso Rhinos excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. El Paso Rhinos was helped by Lukas Znosko, who had one goal. Znosko scored 17:13 into the first period to make the score 2-0 El Paso Rhinos. Kendal Craig provided the assist. El Paso Rhinos also got points from Sebastian Borg, who also registered one goal and one assist, Marek Langhammer, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Craig, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, and John Bowen, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Martin Hanl also scored for El Paso Rhinos. More assists for El Paso Rhinos came via Angel Sanca, Brennan Johnsson, David Brancik, Jeramy Rezaeepour, Gavin Abbott, and Jiri Pestuka, who each chipped in one. El Paso Rhinos ended with 19 minutes in penalty time with seven minors and one major. Oklahoma City Blazers' starting goalie, Jakub Krejci, made 16 saves and finished with the loss before he was taken out in favor of Braden Lajoie, who stopped six shots. Oklahoma City Blazers ended with 70 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors and two majors. For Oklahoma City Blazers, Eric Lietz and Victor Ekk were ejected from the contest.
