A stellar performance between the pipes by Andrew Masters helped the Sarnia Legionnaires defeat the LaSalle Vipers, 2-1. The win by Sarnia broke a deadlock and gave the Legionnaires a 2-1 advantage in the best of seven series. Sarnia was paced by Ryan Vendramin, who tallied one goal. Vendramin scored 16:11 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Sarnia. Jordan Fogarty provided the assist. Riley Babkirk also scored for Sarnia. In addition, Sarnia received assists from Jay Clarke, Nathan Mater, and Brandon Layman, who contributed one each. LaSalle excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. The Vipers forced the Legionnaires goalie Masters to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots. LaSalle was led by Nathan Savage, who scored the team's only goal. Savage scored 6:44 into the third period to make the score 1-1. Masters rejected 34 shots on goal for Sarnia. The Legionnaires incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
