TORONTO boosted by Neatby's play in net, beats NEPEAN 4-1

A stellar performance between the pipes by Stephanie Neatby helped TORONTO defeat NEPEAN, 4-1.

With the win, TORONTO avoided elimination to make the series score 2-1 in the best of five series.

TORONTO was led by Tori Haywood, who tallied one goal. Haywood scored 5:28 into the first period to make the score 2-0 TORONTO. Haley Shugart assisted on the tally.

TORONTO excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances.

TORONTO also had goals scored by Sabrina Repaci, Celine Frappier, and Daryl Watts, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for TORONTO were Kaitlin Tse, who had two and Claire Thompson, Connor Galway, Cristine Chao, and Cara Clarke, who contributed one each.

NEPEAN forced TORONTO goalie Neatby to work between the pipes, taking 33 shots.

Neatby rejected 32 shots on goal for TORONTO. TORONTO incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. NEPEAN took out Laurysa Lewis after she had made 12 saves and installed Kira Bombay in goal, where she finished with one save and the loss. NEPEAN incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
