NEPEAN downs TORONTO, 3-1

Devon Greenough grabbed one point to lead NEPEAN to a 3-1 victory over TORONTO.

The win gave NEPEAN a 1-0 lead in the best of five series.

NEPEAN's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

Others who scored for NEPEAN included Leanne Baker and Josiane Pozzebon(A), who scored one goal each. More assists for NEPEAN came via Blake Orosz, Karleigh Scully, Kristy Pidgeon, Alyssa Baker(A), Sam Cogan(A), and Marley Patterson, who contributed one each.

TORONTO did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting 14 shots on net to force 13 saves.

TORONTO was led by Haley Shugart, who scored the team's only goal. Shugart scored 13:16 into the first period to make the score 1-0 TORONTO. Tori Haywood picked up the assist.

NEPEAN's Kira Bombay stopped 13 shots out of the 14 that she faced. NEPEAN incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Lindsay Wray rejected 19 shots on goal for TORONTO. TORONTO incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
