Caledonia wins tough contest against Ancaster, 3-2

The game between the Caledonia Corvairs and the Ancaster Avalanche was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end Caledonia emerged with a 3-2 win.

No lead was more than one goal during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Connor Bramwell at 9:48 of the third period.

The win by the Corvairs clinched the best of seven series at 4-1.

Caledonia was paced by Bramwell, who racked up one goal.

The Corvairs' offense rang up 39 shots on Ancaster's net.

Caledonia also had goals scored by Cosimo Fontana and Matthew Hore, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Caledonia were Luke Sinclair, Erick Delaurentis, Nathan Gomes, Tyler Lepore, and Austin McEneny, who each chipped in one.

The Avalanche excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in six chances.

Ancaster was helped by Blake Luscombe, who had one goal. Luscombe scored on the power play 4:43 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Ancaster. Ben Hughes picked up the assist. Ancaster also got a goal from Cole Nagy as well. More assists for Ancaster came via Michael Faliero, Owen Burnell, and Brett Farrelly, who contributed one each.

Kevin Entmaa made 21 saves for Caledonia on 23 shots. The Corvairs incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Blake Richard rejected 36 shots on goal for the Avalanche. Ancaster incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
