M1 Robert Morris Univ Illinois falls to M1 Stony Brook University after surprising comeback

The M1 Stony Brook University Seawolves rallied from two goals down to secure a 5-4 win over the M1 Robert Morris Univ Illinois Eagles.

M1 Stony Brook University let multiple leads slip away before eventually digging out of a two hole to pick up the win. The Seawolves took a 3-2 advantage on a goal by JT Hall at 16:30 in the second period. M1 Stony Brook University went down 2-0 after M1 Robert Morris Univ Illinois' Derek Winkler put the puck home at 12:15 in the first period. After knotting things up at 4-4 on a goal by Nick Barbera at 19:28 in the third, the Seawolves got the game-winner from Vincent Lopes at 19:53 in the third period.

Lopes and Hall provided the spark for M1 Stony Brook University, combining for two goals and four assists. Lopes finished with one goal and two assists and Hall also notched one goal and two assists.

The Seawolves put 23 shots on net during the contest, more than the 3.0 they average per game.
