M1 Arizona State University rips M1 Lindenwood University, 5-2

The M1 Arizona State University Sun Devils had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-2 win over the M1 Lindenwood University Lions.

With 42 shots on target during the contest, M1 Arizona State University exceeded the 5.5 shots it averages per game this year.

The Sun Devils were helped by Michael Cummings, who finished with one goal. Cummings scored 7:38 into the first period to make the score 2-0 M1 Arizona State University. Connor Mailey provided the assist. M1 Arizona State University additionally got points from Sean Murphy, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Patrick Yudez, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Others who scored for M1 Arizona State University included Connor Schmidt and Liam Norris, who each put in one. More assists for M1 Arizona State University came via Drew Newmeyer, Eric Rivard, David Norris, Gianni Mangone, Chris Burkemper, and Ryan Belonger, who each chipped in one.

M1 Lindenwood University's offense was clicking better than usual and put 28 shots on goal during the game, better than the 2.0 shots per game it averages.

The Lions were led by Kevin Walters, who registered one goal and one assist. Walters scored 18:40 into the first period to make the score 3-1 M1 Arizona State University. Mitchell Riese picked up the assist. Tobias Nasgarde also scored for M1 Lindenwood University. In addition, M1 Lindenwood University received assists from Peppi Sipila and Stephen Bopp, who contributed one each.

Lucas Felbel made 26 saves for M1 Arizona State University on 28 shots. The Sun Devils incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. M1 Lindenwood University's Michael Hails stopped 37 shots out of the 42 that he faced. The Lions incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
