M1 Central Oklahoma / University of wins tough contest against M1 Iowa State University, 5-3

The M1 Central Oklahoma / University of Bronchos and the M1 Iowa State University Cyclones were evenly matched throughout their contest, but M1 Central Oklahoma / University of made the most of its opportunities and won, 5-3.

Neither team gained more than a two-goal lead, and Tyler Minx's goal in the third period proved to be the difference maker.

The Bronchos got the win behind a great game by Michael Rivera, who had two goals and one assist. Rivera scored the first of his two goals at 6:13 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Trevor Yee picked up the assist. Rivera's next tally made the score 2-1 M1 Central Oklahoma / University of with 12:07 left in the second period. An interference call on Minx put M1 Central Oklahoma / University of on the penalty kill.

The Bronchos' offense was clicking better than usual and put 45 shots on goal during the game, better than the 4.5 shots per game they average.

M1 Central Oklahoma / University of additionally got points from Josh Wyatt, who also registered one goal and one assist. Nolan Grauer also scored for M1 Central Oklahoma / University of. Other players who recorded assists for M1 Central Oklahoma / University of were Trevor Leblanc and Rylan Duley, who each chipped in one.
