M1 Ohio University falls to M1 Minot State University in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

Cole Olson gave the M1 Minot State University Beavers a 4-3 (OT) victory over the M1 Ohio University Bobcats when he scored 8:40 into the extra period.

In the losing effort, M1 Ohio University was led by Michael Harris, who had two goals. Harris scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 13:29 into the first period to make the score 2-2. The Bobcats had taken the advantage when M1 Minot State University's Nicholas Zern got sent off for holding. Tyler Benson provided the assist. Harris' next tally on the power play made the score 3-2 M1 Ohio University with 7:18 left in the second period. Joey Breslin picked up the assist.

In the losing effort, M1 Ohio University was sparked by Harris, who grabbed two goals.

The Beavers' offense was clicking better than usual and put 37 shots on goal during the game, better than the 4.5 shots per game they average.

M1 Minot State University additionally got points from Brett Mcnevin, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Logan Herauf, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. M1 Minot State University also got a goal from Sam Briscoe as well. More assists for M1 Minot State University came via Jeremy Johnson, Dwight Lee, Brett Nespor, and Bryce Lipinski, who each chipped in one.

The Bobcats kept M1 Minot State University's goalie busy throughout the game, and Riley Hengen made 34 saves on 37 shots.

Matthew Hartman also scored for M1 Ohio University. In addition, M1 Ohio University received assists from Patrick Spellacy, who had two and Nathan De La Torre and Paul Sergi, who contributed one each.

The Beavers incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Ryan Heltion rejected 33 shots on goal for M1 Ohio University. The Bobcats totaled 19 minutes in penalty time with two minors and one major and went 1-for-2 on the power play. For M1 Ohio University, Hartman was ejected from the game.
