Salt Lake City Moose tried to dig itself out of a three-goal hole, but Casper Coyotes held on for a 3-1 victory. Casper Coyotes made the score 3-0 on a goal by Viktor Thim at 9:39 in the third period, and Salt Lake City Moose got as close as 3-1 when Lindros Beard scored 11:20 into the third period. The win by Casper Coyotes clinched the best of three series at 2-1. Tim Odermatt had a great game for Casper Coyotes, netting two goals. Odermatt found the back of the net 14:55 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Casper Coyotes and again while 17:07 into the second to make the score 2-0 Casper Coyotes. Casper Coyotes stifled Salt Lake City Moose's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Casper Coyotes forced Salt Lake City Moose goalie Brad Robertson to work between the pipes, taking 43 shots. Other players who recorded assists for Casper Coyotes were Jordan Klimovsky, who had two and Troy Saunders and Kasper Elo, who contributed one each. In addition, Salt Lake City Moose received assists from Patrick OBryan and Erik Ahlen, who each chipped in one. Rikard Landfeldt rejected 29 shots on goal for Casper Coyotes. Casper Coyotes incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Robertson recorded 40 saves for Salt Lake City Moose. Salt Lake City Moose incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
