Casper Coyotes beats Salt Lake City Moose 4-0 as Landfeldt gains shutout

Rikard Landfeldt made 26 saves to complete the shutout and led Casper Coyotes to a 4-0 win against Salt Lake City Moose.

With the win, Casper Coyotes avoided elimination to make the series score 1-1 in the best of three series.

Casper Coyotes was paced by Dmytro Babenko, who grabbed one goal. Babenko scored 1:10 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Casper Coyotes.

Casper Coyotes excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. Casper Coyotes forced Salt Lake City Moose goalie Brad Robertson to work between the pipes, taking 50 shots.

Casper Coyotes also had goals scored by Jordan Klimovsky, Brady Griffin, and Erik Stenbacka, who each put in one. In addition, Casper Coyotes received assists from Brock Weitl and Viktor Thim, who contributed one each.

Salt Lake City Moose stifled Casper Coyotes' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Casper Coyotes incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Brad Robertson made 46 saves for Salt Lake City Moose on 49 shots. Salt Lake City Moose incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
