M1 Minot State University downs M1 Davenport University in overtime, 5-4 (OT)

Bryce Lipinski gave the M1 Minot State University Beavers a 5-4 (OT) victory over the M1 Davenport University Panthers when he scored 9:52 into the extra period.

M1 Minot State University came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Beavers was down 4-2 after a goal by M1 Davenport University's Chris Eckler at 8:10 in the third period. M1 Minot State University knotted things up at 4-4 on a goal by Cole Olson at 16:36 in the third period.

In a losing effort, the Panthers were paced by Kody Polin, who racked up two goals. Polin scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 10:21 into the first period to make the score 1-1. M1 Davenport University had gained a power play chance when Mitchell Peeke was whistled for slashing. Mason Bohlinger assisted on the tally. Polin's next tally on the power play made the score 2-2 with 2:07 left in the second period. The Panthers earned a power play opportunity when Logan Herauf was put in the box for head contact. Jordan Simmonds provided the assist.

The Beavers struggled on the penalty kill, allowing M1 Davenport University to score three power play goals on five chances. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals. M1 Minot State University put 38 shots on net during the contest, more than the 4.5 it averages per game.

M1 Minot State University also got points from Austin Yano, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. M1 Minot State University also had goals scored by Nicholas Zern and Sam Briscoe, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for M1 Minot State University were Brad Olynyk, who had two and Jeremy Johnson, Craig Fournier, Robby Moar, Brett Nespor, Brett Mcnevin, and Lyndon Lipinski, who each chipped in one.
