Ontario Avalanche falls to Valencia Flyers in overtime, 2-1 (OT)

Valencia Flyers pulled out a 2-1 (OT) overtime victory over Ontario Avalanche on a clutch goal by Ray Wilson.

The win by Valencia Flyers clinched the best of three series at 2-1.

Valencia Flyers was paced by Wilson, who had one goal. Wilson scored on the power play 11:32 into overtime to make the score 2-1 Valencia Flyers. A checking from behind penalty on Basil Reynolds had put Valencia Flyers on the power play.

Valencia Flyers put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Ontario Avalanche to score on any of its three power plays. Ontario Avalanche was unable to stop Valencia Flyers from sending pucks towards the net, and Valencia Flyers eventually piled up 31 shots on goal.

Valencia Flyers also got a goal from Blake Aguilar as well. Other players who recorded assists for Valencia Flyers were Jakob Kranabetter and Luc Whyte, who contributed one each.

Ontario Avalanche was led by Adam Plonski, who scored the team's only goal. Plonski scored 10:28 into the third period to make the score 1-0 Ontario Avalanche. Zechariah Roberts assisted on the tally.

Valencia Flyers' Silvan Delb stopped 19 shots out of the 20 that he faced. Valencia Flyers totaled 11 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 2-for-5 on the power play. Daniel Cepila made 29 saves for Ontario Avalanche on 31 shots. Ontario Avalanche ended with 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major.
