Salt Lake City Moose outlasts Colorado RoughRiders, 4-2

Salt Lake City Moose and Colorado RoughRiders were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Salt Lake City Moose made the most of its opportunities and won, 4-2.

No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Jurijs Moiseicenko at 19:14 of the third period.

With the win, Salt Lake City Moose avoided elimination to make the series score 1-2 in the best of three series.

In a losing effort, Colorado RoughRiders was paced by Thayne Trumbull, who registered two goals. Trumbull scored the first of his two goals at 12:57 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Salt Lake City Moose. Devon Pilkington picked up the assist. Trumbull's next tally made the score 2-2 with 3:48 left in the first period. Pilkington assisted on the tally.

Salt Lake City Moose was led by Moiseicenko, who tallied one goal and one assist.

Salt Lake City Moose additionally got points from Brett Myer, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Salt Lake City Moose also had goals scored by Brett Howard and Ryan Solomon, who each put in one. In addition, Salt Lake City Moose received assists from Dan Veselovsky, who had one and Erik Ahlen, who had three.

Salt Lake City Moose was unable to stop Colorado RoughRiders from sending pucks towards the net, and Colorado RoughRiders eventually piled up 41 shots on goal.

More assists for Colorado RoughRiders came via Aidan Doughty, who had two.

Brad Robertson made 39 saves for Salt Lake City Moose on 41 shots. Salt Lake City Moose incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Kirill Pustovalov recorded 26 saves for Colorado RoughRiders. Colorado RoughRiders incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with two minors.
