Williams' big game bests Wichita Jr. Thunder in 8-3 Dallas Snipers win

Dallas Snipers' Trent Williams had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing two assists in his team's 8-3 win over Wichita Jr. Thunder.

Williams' tallies came at 17:46 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Dallas Snipers and 14:58 into the second to make the score 4-2 Dallas Snipers.

After the loss made the series score 1-0 in the best of three series, Wichita Jr. Thunder faces elimination next time out.

Wichita Jr. Thunder was unable to stop Dallas Snipers from sending pucks towards the net, and Dallas Snipers eventually piled up 54 shots on goal.

Dallas Snipers also got points from Alexander Yunanov, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Peter Kutlak, who also had one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Dallas Snipers included Jean Cobo, who had two and Erik Svensson and Carl Sandsten, who each put in one. In addition, Dallas Snipers received assists from Dusan Olsa, who had two and Justin Becton and Nikkita Perviakov, who contributed three each.

Wichita Jr. Thunder forced Dallas Snipers goalie Sander Berg to work between the pipes, taking 38 shots.

Wichita Jr. Thunder was led by Patrik Janac, who finished with one goal and two assists. Janac scored 18:53 into the second period to make the score 4-3 Dallas Snipers. Ivan Brvenik assisted on the tally. Wichita Jr. Thunder also had goals scored by Joel Gellvear and Peter Cicmanec, who scored one goal each. More assists for Wichita Jr. Thunder came via Matej Porzer and Zach Balodis, who each chipped in one.

Sander Berg made 35 saves for Dallas Snipers on 38 shots. Dallas Snipers totaled 11 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 1-for-5 on the power play. Wichita Jr. Thunder's Jake Larson stopped 46 shots out of the 54 that he faced. Wichita Jr. Thunder totaled 30 minutes in penalty time with five minors and two majors and went 0-for-2 on the power play. For Wichita Jr. Thunder, Cicmanec was ejected from the game.
