Southern Oregon Spartans falls to Missoula Maulers in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

Missoula Maulers' Sawyer Jacobson scored 6:10 into overtime to beat Southern Oregon Spartans, 3-2 (OT).

The win by Missoula Maulers clinched the best of three series at 2-1.

Jacobson had two goals to lead Missoula Maulers to victory.

Missoula Maulers kept Southern Oregon Spartans' goalie busy throughout the game, and Reed Kinsey made 41 saves on 44 shots.

Missoula Maulers also got a goal from Dominic Rinaldi as well. In addition, Missoula Maulers received assists from Corey Schafer, who had two and Domantas Cypas, Wyatt Mathews, Tanner Todd, and Joey Porco, who each chipped in one.

Missoula Maulers was unable to stop Southern Oregon Spartans from sending pucks towards the net, and Southern Oregon Spartans eventually piled up 35 shots on goal.

Southern Oregon Spartans was helped by Billy Saxton, who registered one goal. Saxton scored 3:47 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Drew Carriere assisted on the tally. Doug Gutierrez also scored for Southern Oregon Spartans. Other players who recorded assists for Southern Oregon Spartans were Tyler Spencer, Mackenzie Wood, and Johan Lovestrom, who contributed one each.

Missoula Maulers' Noah Parker stopped 33 shots out of the 35 that he faced. Missoula Maulers incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Southern Oregon Spartans incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
